Hopes and Dreams Foundation website,
a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the awareness and
appreciation of children and young adults with developmental disabilities,
including Down syndrome, and other specific challenges.
|~To promote education and community involvement for children with
disabilities through social activities and experiences in creative arts
(music, dance, and theater)
~To establish unique programs for participants and support for families.
|The Buddy Walk is a one-mile advocacy walk for individuals with Down
syndrome and other disabilities. Anyone can participate.
Pledges/Donations are encouraged throughout the year.

|The Buddy Walk® was established by NDSS in 1995 and has grown to be the world’s largest
and most recognizable Down syndrome awareness program, with over 250 Walks taking place
in 50 states and select international countries. Each year 315,000 walkers collectively raise
nearly $13 million which is used to support local programs and services as well as national
